ROAD TRIP WORDS AND PHOTOS BY WAYNE KELLY MARCH 2008

It was a combination of things.... it all caught up to me. I needed a road trip. I missed my good friends, and they have been asking me to come visit for a while now. I decided to get up and go.

I loaded up my car and decided to start driving down the California Coast. I immediately started to feel the weight being lifted off my shoulders. The change of scenery, the beautiful sky, and the clean air quenched my need to get away.

The goal was to take a jetski ride to the outer reef pictured above. I was planning on paddling into a few bombs on my 10 foot gun. I was told the waves out there were going to be shitty, so I thought I would add this photo to prove it wasnt.

Along my trip, I stopped at a really cool beach with my friend. We started to hike, and we started to find pieces of jade. All of a sudden I forgot everything else, and I spent my time wandering the beach looking for jade rock. It was alot of fun.
