ANOTHER WINTER DAY Somewhere north of Mexico PHOTOS BY BK, Dman, and Katie WORDS BY WK January 9-11, 2008

It was another round of firing surf, and I did my best to be on it.

Im still getting used to custom surfboards from Vernor Surfboards, but they are way better than pop-outs.

Moving alot faster than the photo looks, Uncle BK did a great job shooting photos.

I caught this fatty, then got a nice tuberide.

Resetting my rail for a hollow inside section.

Boom.... got into the shack... now I just need to get out.

I like how fast I can transition the board from rail-to-rail. Heres a good example.
Sketch-drop.

I got lucky, and pulled into this polished gem-stone of a wave.

Thats a brand new 7'7" that was helping me get in early on the bigger ones. Its a good tube-shooter.

I love this photo...just stopped dragging the hand...letting go of the rail.... man it was an amazing evening.

This was one of the best floaters I've done in sooo long. Look at the vertical entry onto the lip.

Yeah, these Vernor Surfboards are working great, dont you think? Rail-slide snap.

Straightening out on a close-out can be risky, but I made this one.

I have never gotten a switch-stance barrel on camera, but BK got this one.

Yeah, that 7"7" Vernor feels pretty damn good off the bottom. Looks that way too.
