NOVEMBER 2008    2 FIRING FRIDAYS PHOTOS BY WK, Holly, and Sean Day

Veteran surfer “Russel” from the Monterey Bay always seems to be on the best waves.

Here Russel pulls into a Friday Morning grinder.

For some reason, the swells just happened to fall on every Friday of the month, with two of them being exceptional.

Here surfer Danny Hart wrestles a pretty big outside peak on one Friday. There were some pretty amazing waves.

Dave from the Hallway Ballers was out, getting a few sweet lefts.

On this particular riday evening, the waves were as perfect as it gets around here.

Yeah, the waves were big and perfect, but paddling back out could be a total bitch.

Holly Hamilton showed up and shot photos for a little bit, and got a few shots of me getting some.

Getting out to the lineup was not an easy proposition. It was near impossible to avoid a beating.

I managed to get into a few big rights, and I was happy to see my new VERNOR WK Barrelmaker model was working good. You can order one on VERNORSURFBOARDS.COM

This was one of my first turns on this brand new 6”9” VERNOR SURFBOARD.

The wind was offshore all day, which left the ocean super clean with perfect waves. It was amazing.

Danny Hart says hi.

Danny Hart is no stranger to big fat perfect set waves. He surfs them well.

On a blustery and  windy day, Dan lays into a nice roundhouse cutback.

There were many broken boards to attest to the winter power.

My kids played on the beach of a beautiful fall November evening.

Adam from the Hallway balers got this magical barrel, and I was there to capture it.

Adam rode all the way through, without getting touched by a drop of water.

A surfer flys through an evening barrel, on a Friday of absolute perfection.

Jed Gibson feeling the magic.

Moses Cuprill managed to catch the best wave of the day, and be in the perfect position the whole way. Tube of the year.

Heres the second shot, and theres many more to this sequence  couldn't fit here.
